As well as traditional portraiture, Shelley offers the unique concept of The Portrait Series. By portraying different aspects of the subject, the viewer receives a more complete impression of the subject's personality and likeness. Through the multiple views, personalities become more defined, showing a variety of expressions and emotions. The canvases can also become more three dimensional when combined with each other, by using non-traditional hanging methods such as layering, accordion framing, shelves and poles.

P R O C E D U R E

· The artist’s portfolio is sent to the client for review, and from this, the client chooses one of the two following styles:

· PORTRAIT SERIES: One or more people can be included. This is a flexible format and shows a range of emotions and expressions. There is a variety of ways to frame and|or create installations with these pieces. The paintings are oil on canvas.



· TRADITIONAL: Single or group portrait. Oil on canvas, or pastel painting.

· A questionnaire is used to determine the cost and time frame for the portrait(s). This estimate is returned to client for review and approval.

· Artist travels to subject(s) and photos are taken. This session usually lasts up to three hours. A studio photo session can also be set up in New York, if desired.

· The selection of a photo or series of photos is agreed upon by artist and client. A painting can take up to six months to complete.

· Additional fees: framing, artist’s travel to subject, film, film processing, and delivery.
